Earlier today I was watching the History channel which was talking about Amtrak, the railroad company. On the side of one of the trains, was the companies logo and I noticed it seemed similar to the Bank of America logo. Here are the logos along with another that was also kind of similar. I’ve removed the colors for effect.

Amtrak

Sprint

Bank of America

I skanked this off of Gizmodo earlier today and was disappointed to find that my site was only rated PG.
Note to self: Must say fuck more often. And shit.

This moron created a website for the sole purpose of gathering cash from fellow morons so that he could buy an iPhone. So people donated money to him (I have no idea how much money but that is pointless) and now he’s posted a video basically saying “i’m not buying an iPhone suckers but thanks for the cash lamos!”
Why do people donate money to these ’causes’? I like how he called this whole scam an ‘experiment’. Bullshit asswhipe.

My childhood science learning came from two sources. Obviously in the classroom but also via Mr. Wizard’s World. Children today will have to rely on 1980’s repeats as Mr Wizard himself, Don Herbert, has passed away. He was 89 years old. I have been reading through his bio on Mr Wizard Studios which is pretty impressive - he first started childrens’ science television on NBC in 1951!

The other morning, I received a link to this story in the Rutland Herald online newspaper (small paper of the place I was born in Vermont). I found it interesting that in this day of overcrowded schools that there are still places in the US where small classes exist.

Running on
June 5, 2007
At least, my legs feel like they are dying. After work yesterday, I realized that my latest nike+ running challenge was coming to a close within a week and the temperatures were soon going to start soaring past the 90 degree mark (less than ideal).
So, I laced up my shoes and grabbed my ipod. It started out pretty well with decent consistent mile after mile. I knew I had to beat a specific time and kept doing the math in my head to see where I was vs. that time. Around the halfway point, I realized I was behind by a short margin and over the next few miles managed to catch up and pull a little ahead.
Between mile 9 and the finish my legs were threatennig a strike and could tell my feet were considering joining in support. Luckily, they allowed me to finish with an extra 44 seconds on the clock. Today though, today they are letting me know how unhappy they are with their work conditions.
Ouch.

One of my favorite hours of the week is the time where my television is tuned into the SciFi channel each week while Battlestar Galactica is on. The new season doesn’t start up until November unfortunately and today worse news. This will be the final season!

According to a press conference held today by Ron Moore and David Eick (the executive producers of the show) this will be the final season. “This show was always meant to have a beginning, a middle and, finally, an end” which it never got during the original series.
While I am not happy to hear about the show coming to an end, looking at that photo of Cylon babe (Grace Park) eases my woe. That and I will, at least, have the opportunity to see a show end on it’s own terms rather than a network pulling the plug or the show just overstaying it’s welcome (yes, i’m talking about you X-Files).
