I just finished watching a teaser trailer for the Batman sequel ‘The Dark Knight‘ that Warner Brothers released for Comic-con.
It’s light on images (ie. there are no scenes shown) but you hear Bruce Wayne, Alfred and The Joker and it’s lit my little geek fire for seeing more. Hit up this link at moviehole for the link (I hate linking directly to video files, especially HD video which this is).
The Dark Knight will hit theaters summer 2008 starring - Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, along with Anthony Michael Hall, Eric Roberts, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine. Quite the cast!

It’s Friday and I needed to get out of the office for a bit after this long week. What better excuse than to offer to go pick up lunch?
Today’s choice? Pizza Hut. Mmm….pizza.

While waiting for those tasty P’Zones were being born in the kitchen, I snapped a photo of the pizza hut sign while waiting. That’s when I found a problem with my phone - while taking full resolution photos, I can’t send them via mms. I have to use email - which means data useage. I might want to think about getting that unlimited data plan.

I’m a ‘car guy’ but as my website’s name attests - I like fire. Usually my entertainment of fire wins out over my sadness over a lost car. Except when that car is a Ferrari F430!

I saw this on carscoop - check out the link for more photos.

Today I found the solution to time travel! I walked into the local movie theater and walked out an 8 year old kid after watching the new Transformers movie. I was nervous from the trailer and photos that had been posted online before the release but the first glimpse of Optimus Prime quelled those fears.
The movie isn’t going for the complex plot and that is obvious (the cartoons never went after complexity either) but it offers incredible special effects with just enough cheese to keep you entertained. Those who remember the classic cartoon of the 80’s may have a bit of a nerdgasm like I did when you hear Optimus say “Autobots, Roll out!”. Also as a nod to the fact that Bumblebee was originally a VW Bug, the beginning of the film shows the classic camero which is now Bumblebee’s form parked next to a yellow Bug at the dealership where Sam (Shia Labouf) & his dad are shopping for his first car.
My biggest complaint is that there seemed to be too much downtime before the awesome final 30 minutes. It looks like based upon the way the movie ended, a sequel is planned. Given the movie has made about $85 million from Tues - Friday, a sequel seems likely. I just hope Megatron gets a different form because I wasn’t the biggest fan of his current look.

Been toying w/ my new phone that I reviewed here. It seems you can do a rough panoramic photo directly on the phone. It takes photo 1 then overlays the right edge of the photo on the screen to line up for photo 2. This repeats until you’ve taken 3 photos. All complete, you get something like the photo below.

(the original size of the panoramic photo comes out at 1632 x 416)

Yesterday in Rome, GA a woman got the scare of a lifetime when a crane fell on her car while she was sitting at a stop light. Lucky for her, it crushed only the back half of the car and she was uninjured. Hope she decided to play the lottery cause she is damn lucky! (video after the break)

With all the hype mass hysteria lately about the iPhone and my growing frustration with my current cell phone I decided it was time to upgrade. So I placed an order online and received my new phone. I pulled it out of the package and swapped my SIM card over and it started working right away (after letting it charge of course).
So now I’ve got a fancy new Sony Ericsson K790a (What? You think I’m made of money? I can’t afford an iPhone! Nor do I want another 2 years of contract) - one of their cybershot phones meaning besides being a phone, it’s secondary function is that of a camera - they also carry a ‘W’ line of phones who’s secondary function is that of an MP3 player.

The pen may be mightier than the sword but where does this put the Fishpen? The things you see on television in the middle of the night.

(careful, their site sucks and the annoying commercial starts playing automatically)
