I work hard for the paycheck I bring in, putting in generally over 40 hours each week. But apparently that isn’t required and it’s just not fair. Forbes.com is putting Elvis Prestley at the top of their dead celebrities income list. He pulled in $49 million dollars this year all while living existing 6 feet under ground for longer than i’ve been alive!
That is REALLY not fair.

What has been happening at Apple? They seem to be working hard at alienating their customers. With the increasing popularity of Apple thanks to the iPod & iPhone, they seem to also be working to alienate these new customers.
First they cut the price of the iPhone by $200 only a few moments after intoduction causing those early adopters to feel like they were robbed. Then there was the whole ‘bricking’ situation. Now Apple has taken it one additional step by limiting how many iPhones you can buy and how you can pay for them.
Don’t bring the green paper with you to the Apple store. For that matter, forget using a gift card either because Apple wont accept it.

Just heard that my great aunt Alice passed away last night. She turned 98 on Sunday.

Much of Northern Georgia has been on complete outdoor water restrictions (except if your business is a car wash, landscaper, etc). The major lake that provides the water for the metro area is down more than 15′ right now.
There is a debate going on between the state and Army Corp of Engineers about cutting the amount of water that is currently released from the dam. The water released is sent on down to Florida and Alabama to among other things maintain three endangered species (2 types of mussel and the Gulf Sturgeon). Construction of the damn on the Chattahoochee river began in 1950.
For the last two days we have finally gotten some rain but I suspect it will have little effect. On a side note, I saw this story on the local news about a man who’s building and selling his own rain barrels to local Ace Hardware stores which are selling like the proverbial hot cake

I just saw this trailer for a new movie coming in February called Jumper. It looks pretty good to me - I mean, it’s got Sam Jackson so that is usually a pretty good start. Not sure who the main character is though.
Check it out. What do you think?

This is actually from last week but still worth sharing. We inspected this house for the buyer who was going to fix it up and while looking through the photos it became aparent that the previous owner may have had either a fear of germs (ala Howard Hughes) or some other mental ailment. You’ll see what I mean from the photos.

Notice in the first photo, all the nails in the siding - with vinyl siding, that is NOT recommended. Also you can see around the windows (and the 2nd photo) the prior owner’s affinity for caulking.

There is something bubbling up inside me and no, it’s not because of the food I had for lunch! I typically don’t remember my dreams -haven’t in quite a long time actually. I’ve heard people say that it’s due to stress, but I don’t believe it. I’ve recently had a flood of odd dreams recently and a feeling that I need to do something. I’ve got this bubble of creative energy and no way to get it out of me. It just doesn’t seem ready to release itself from me so I get that ‘i know i should be doing something but dont know what’ kind of feeling.
On a side note….I now have Sci-Fi in high-def. I can’t wait for BSG now, especially since the teaser for the final season is up on youtube! Roslin with a gun?!
